Our Network

The Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers, allowing the Lifeline to provide local resources with best practices and quality care across India.

Lifeline Network Crisis Centers

Calls to 1800-121-3667 are routed to the nearest crisis center. Counselors at these centers can then provide appropriate local resources if needed. Presently the Lifeline is accepting applications for new centers to join the network.

How it works

How it works

The Lifeline network is designed to connect callers with local crisis centers by using a telephony system that routes calls based on the caller’s phone number. Connecting callers to local crisis centers is preferable because they are most familiar with local resources. Calls that are not answered in-state, roll over to the Lifeline’s national backup system. Please note that not all centers participating in the Lifeline network take statewide calls and not all centers answer calls 24/7.
